Frequently asked

If something is not covered here, the contact page reaches a person, not a bot.

The discount

What happens if I roll below 10%?

You keep the standard 10% discount. The roll can only improve on it, never take it away. You are never worse off for having played.

How is the roll decided?

You get three spins. Each time, four reels settle on a percentage between 0.00 and 99.99, and the highest of the three is your roll. On the live site the number is issued and held server side and applied at checkout, so what you see on screen and what you are charged cannot disagree.

Can I roll more than once?

Yes, three times. Every order gets three spins and the highest one counts. Once it is locked it stays with that order for a month, tied to your account and browser.

Can I skip the roll?

Yes. The standard 10% is always there and you never have to touch the lever.

Does the discount apply to the flasher too?

No. The discount applies to tune files. FlashZilla Pro is hardware and is charged at $139 either way.

Tunes and fitment

Which vehicles are supported?

1,992 vehicles across the supported makes, model years, engines and ECU hardware codes. The selector on the home page only ever offers combinations that resolve to a real tune.

What is the difference between ECU and TCU?

The ECU tune is the engine calibration - that is where the power comes from. The TCU tune is the gearbox: shift speed, clutch pressure, torque limits. On a car with a supported automatic or DSG the two are usually taken together.

What do the stages mean?

Stage 1 runs on stock hardware. Stage 2 assumes supporting hardware such as a downpipe or intake. Stage 3 assumes serious engine work. Each product page says exactly what it expects.

Who actually makes the tunes?

TuneZilla. Spinny Tune is an authorised dealer - the calibration, the dyno work and the support behind the file are all theirs.

Delivery and payment

How quickly do I get my tune?

Tune files are emailed as soon as payment clears - normally within seconds. The same links also appear on your order page, which you can reach from the email without logging in.

I did not get the email.

Check the spam folder first; the order page states the exact address the files were sent to. If it is still missing, the links on the order page work on their own, and the contact page will reach us.

How do I pay?

By card, through Helcim, our payment processor, or with PayPal. Both apply the same locked discount and both fire the identical delivery path.

When do you need my address?

Only when there is hardware to ship. A digital-only order never asks for one.

Can I get a refund?

Tune files cannot be returned once delivered. Hardware that has not been used can be returned - contact us and we will sort it.
